POP Music Research 

Pop music, which was originally taken from the word Popular is a type of music that came from the west during the 50's and the 60's originally deriving from the traditional Rock and Roll. The Pop genre normally contain a lot of electric style as well as Latin , Rock and Roll and dance making it a real range of different styles of music. Over the years after the 50's and the 60's the POP genre grew year after year to become the most popular form/ style of music in the present day. The American and British market produces the most POP music with the two countries dominating the POP music genre. As the POP genre of music became very popular throughout the late seventies and into the eighties , we saw the rise to music being broadcast and shown on TV as music began to be made with videos that accompanied them. Television channels such as MTV , which was set up in 1981 show up to date and popular music videos especially POP genre music videos.
